High-speed radial pistons with high torsion
and high performance.
The AV-21-110-#-#-V series radial piston Cid
engines are a unique solution for hydrostatically
balanced direct activation in every possible
use. These engines offer great power, low
weight and a very compact design. They have
a constant torsion by means of different speed
ranges. Work pressures are set above 317 kg/cm2.
Beginning-end pressure and peak pressure is
400 kg/cm2.
It offers an attainable speed reduction capacity
of 0.1 RPM. Additionally, it also has a great
start-up effectiveness with high torsion (above
97%). It has a low rotation inertia thus bringing
about a high response for the change in rotation
direction (or effort inversion). It is capable
of working with temperatures ranging between
–30ºC and +90ºC and has a
very noiseless performance (60 dba), as well
as a high radial and axial load capacity,
high tolerance to pollutants and does not
show counter-pressure.
Moreover, it has a reduced level of leakage
and a high mechanic volumetric effectiveness.
Additionally, it is fitted with and orbiting
plate. Cid AV-21-110-#-#-V engines can be
exchanged with other radial piston engines.
Operation:
The oil that flows in through the supply sleeve
is let by a distribution valve through the
radial passage at the engine frame towards
the upper section of the working pistons.
The resulting piston load undergoes a centripetal
force, which transmitted by the brake shoe,
assembled for the eccentric cam. This action
results in an outward rotation of the start-up
shaft. In order to secure a slow rotation,
the pistons are loaded in a sequence according
to the regulation of the distribution valve.
The total outward torsion of the engine is
the adding vector of the torsions generated
by each working piston.
The AV-21-110-#-#-V Cid engine has been developed
for a high load capacity. It is efficient,
it has a low inertial momentum and it is capable
of operating at low speeds, as well as having
excellent reserve properties. Moreover, it
is extremely noiseless; most suitable for
servo-control systems with the possibility
to work with an engine or pump in both directions.
The heptagonal ring with enough sleeves for
lubrication and refrigeration, thus ensuring
the reduction of friction loss to the minimum,
and avoiding cartridge displacement at low
speeds.
Its particular design enables a high work
beginning and a torsion execution at high
speeds. It enjoys a long-lasting working life
since its components are not affected by pollution.
Control:
Oil flow to and from the cylinders is determined
by means of the perforations in the face of
the body. The distribution port plate is assembled
on the eccentric needles supports and jointly
with the body it forms two angular passages.
When the oil is provided to the engine by
means of pressure, the crankshaft together
with the eccentric torsion enable the port
plate to open the inner and outer annular
passages for oil to flow.
The port plate is axially loaded by means
of a hydraulic compensator and a coil to keep
the free constant flow at the distribution
block under pressure.
The engine design ensures low friction loss,
self-cleansing on the distributor face, immunity
to pollution effects and very low fluid leaks.
